I really wanted to try a new look using some of the mixed metal shades I’d seen on the catwalk.
To me, contrast is the root of all beauty, so clash away with those mixed metals for a look that’s highly glamorous without being stale or overdone.
The catwalks for autumn were awash with stunning variations on this look, and here’s how I made it my own
For the final step, I took some of a metallic steel blue shade ‘Glitz’ from the Sleek Oh So Special palette and did the inner corners and the bottom lash line. I loved the contrast of this cool, steely shade with the warm bronzes and golds. It makes for a very bold look and I think it made the golden tones in my eyes stand out more.
This look might be stand out, but because its not too dark, you can afford to do darker lips. So I slicked on some Clinique Chubby Stick in ‘Richer Raisin’ which is a really gorgeous, dark autumnal shade – but sheer enough to be easy to wear if you’re scared of lipstick that’s too dark! The red tones keep it on the right side of gothic.
