Ooooookaaay, post number two on the fabulous #bhmbloggermeet event I went to this weekend. It was the most amazing time.
But it wouldn’t be a proper blog meet without an outfit and make-up look post , would it? So here goes with all that stuff.
I posted a little about my style inspiration for the meet here, and I did my best to follow the plan and put together a look that’s all about my current favourites – tailoring, leather, layers, vampy lips and molten metal lids.
Funnily enough, all the items are pretty much from one place – Topshop! Got to love good old Toppers, right? I got them all at different times, but they came together in a new combination here.
Black suede wedge ankle boots with gold zip – Primark
Black lace crop top – Topshop
Cream chiffon shirt – Primark
Black leather skinnies with zip details – Topshop
Black white and gold multi-strand necklace – Topshop
Black mini leopard edition ‘Alexa’ – Mulberry
This outfit is part of my autumn style push to be a bit more daring. I’ve gotten massively into layering crop tops with shirts, and strapless dresses over sweaters, it just feels fresh and right at the moment.
My leather skinnies have come out of hibernation for another year. I can’t believe I ever doubted getting these for a minute – they’re one of my favourite items now and I am on my second pair! They’re so versatile, because you can dress them down with a jumper, or slip on a strappy cami and killer heels and you have the perfect outfit for a night out.
The make-up look I went for turned out to be really autumnal and vampy, after my initial hesitation I am absolutely loving a plum lip now. Pairing it with bronze lids makes it look right for now.
Skin essentials for a smooth canvas:

Makeup Revolution ‘Iconic 3’
Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon ‘Dark Pearl’

Rimmel Moisture Renew in ‘Sloane Plum’
This lip colour got so many comments. I loved wearing it, and although I haven’t used Rimmel in years, I’m amazed at the quality of this. Its a beautiful shade, very pigmented and yet so comfortable and moisturing on. It easily competes with big name brand lipsticks. Really glad I picked this up on my last Boots trip.
On the day, I made such a rookie mistake though! I did all my make-up, got it just right, and then I decided I was going to wear my coloured contact lenses. Massive mistake. I wear them a lot, but putting them in still makes my eyes stream like crazy, so I usually pop them on well before I do my make-up.
My eyes were so irritated, I ended up crying off all my make-up! I had to start again, which meant I was running late and my eye were sore and irritated all day. I had to tell everyone because I looked slightly crazy/overemotional all day….
I met up with the gorgeous KerryJustBeauty before hand for a coffee and wasn’t her outfit gorgeous? I was in love with her bag.
Bag – River Island
Sunglasses – Karen Millen
Jumper – Dorothy Perkins
Jeans – Next
Boots – Topshop
Her make-up was just stunning as well. Check out the lip colour! It’s Mac’s Up The Amp, which is definitely on my wishlist now…
We went to the rather lovely Cafe Opus at Ikon, which was the perfect quiet spot for a catch up. How gorgeous is the building it’s in?
